I am very pleased with the Tennis Tutor and would recommend it to anyone wanting to improve their groundstrokes and volleys. I have used the Lobster tennis ball machine also, but I like the ease at which I can get the smaller size machine in and out of my car. Bought the machine because I only have access to one partner who isn't always available. It's nice to be able to pick up the tutor whenever I have need for exercise. It's more fun then using the treadmills at the Y (although I continue to do that also. I've found in my age (82) that regular exercise is vital to my continuing good health. It has plenty of power and speed for me.

I've been using this machine at local tennis courts 4 exercise and to practice when nobody else is available to play. The machine is very quiet (which is good 4 playing on rec courts), easy to transport (if you can handle carrying 25 pounds from the car), and is easy to set up. The oscillator option is well worth the extra money, so that you can move around and get greater variety. I think using the machine would get old quick without the oscillator option. There are only thing that I don't like about the machine (but this is minimal compared to the machine's strengths). It can be difficult to adjust the elevation and ball speed to get it shooting where it needs to be since the machine varies some on it's ball propulsion. In other words, you think you got it set right, and it will only shoot about 75% of the balls where you set it 4. But it's not that bad. It makes you move and be aware more. OVERALL: great machine 4 the price and very effective 4 beginners, intermediates, and anybody who just to wants to go out and enjoy hitting the ball.
